Notre Dame football: Offensive Grades vs. Syracuse

Running Backs

There’s a lot to love about Kyren Williams, from his age to his all-around skill set, but what’s most impressive about Williams is his consistency. He is consistently good in pass blocking. He can get open and has solid hands in the passing game, and he gets five yards a carry like clockwork.

Against Syracuse, this led to him quietly going 110 yards on 20 carries.

Chris Tyree got to 109 yards, but he wasn’t quiet about it. The dagger may have already been in Syracuse’s chest, but Tyree twisted the knife with his 94-yard touchdown run where he showed off just how fast he was. His other five carries were quieter, only going for 15 yards, but his explosiveness is so exciting.

Two other backs would get carries. C’Bo Flemister, who hasn’t had many touches lately, got three for ten yards. Cameron Ekanayake also got three carries, which went for one yard as a senior day special. Williams had three catches for 33 yards on the day, while Tyree had one six-yard grab in the passing game.
