Notre Dame football can now rest before ACC Championship Game

Get some rest and gameplan

The No. 1 goal for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish over the next two weeks is simple, rest, get healthy, and meet Clemson at full strength. Part of staying healthy for the Clemson game is going to include avoid a break out of COVID-19 within the program, which the Irish have been good about since the issues they had forced the now canceled Wake Forest game to be delayed.

As for the coaches, you now have an extended period of time to prepare for Clemson and Dabo Swinney. We all know that Clemson is desperate to avenge their November loss to Notre Dame, and without a win in the ACC Championship Game, the Tigers likely won’t make the College Football Playoff.

Also, this is a Clemson team that will have star quarterback Trevor Lawrence back in time for the rematch, the consensus No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and one of the better quarterback prospects we have seen in a long time.

As for fans, take a break and remember that it’s better to beat Clemson in the ACC Championship, but probably not necessary to make the Playoff. So, fans should rest too. Enjoy some games of zero consequence and allow yourself to be excited about the ACC Championship Game, but not stressed.
