Trio of Notre Dame football players named ACC Players of the Week

The ACC released their Football Players of the Week on Monday and a trio of Notre Dame football players got honored after the Syracuse win.
On Saturday, the Notre Dame football team wrapped up a perfect 10-0 regular season, navigating an ACC conference schedule for the first time. They have taken on all opponents this season, beating the No. 1 team in the country along the way, beating the Clemson Tigers in overtime a few weeks back.
Clemson has long dominated the ACC and will meet up with the Irish once more in the ACC title game on December 19. That gives Brian Kelly and company two weeks to get ready for a Tigers team that will not only be hungry but will have star quarterback Trevor Lawrence back under center after missing the first matchup with COVID-19.
Last weekend, the Irish were able to take care of the Syracuse Orange after a slow start, winning their Senior game 45-21. There were plenty of players who stepped up big time in the game, including star quarterback Ian Book, who won his program-record 30th game as the team’s starting quarterback.
Outside of Book, contributions came from up and down the roster, including three players who were named conference Players of the Week.
