Notre Dame Men’s Basketball: 3 Keys to victory over No. 22 Ohio State

Limit Justice Sueing

Ohio State has a few players who can absolutely take over a game and dominate, and it will key for the Irish to make sure they go into this game with a solid gameplan for all of them. However, this game is going to be about limiting Justin Sueing, a tremendous talent who is currently leading the Buckeyes by averaging 15 points per game.

Not only can Sueing fill it up from anywhere on the floor, but he also is a beast in the paint, and has around six rebounds per game this season as well. A transfer from the University of California, Sueing had to wait over 600 days between appearances in a college basketball game and has hit the ground running in his first season in Columbus.

During the preseason, head coach Chris Holtmann has this to say about Sueing, per Buckeyetra.com.

"“He just has a variety of ways in which he can attack you, and he’s pretty powerful,” Holtmann said. “And you combine his size with his ball skills and his athleticism and he’s a good player. He’s that versatile wing-forward that is really valuable in today’s game.”"

Sueing can play above the rim, can make the open threes, and Notre Dame needs to make sure they have someone on him at all times. If he goes off, it is going to be hard for the Irish to come away with a win in this one.
