The Notre Dame Men’s Basketball team will battle it out against Kentucky on Saturday, and they certainly have the talent to move to 3-2.

The Notre Dame Men’s Basketball team will hit the road on Saturday, as they travel to Lexington Kentucky to take on the Wildcats. For the Wildcats, this has been a disappointing season to start, as they have lost three of their first four games, the worst start the program has had in twenty years.

For these two programs, this will be a rematch of the 2015 Midwest Region Semifinal, a game that saw the Wildcats end the Irish’s season with a 68-66 win. With the win, the Wildcats moved their record to 38-0 and were on the doorstep of history before a loss to the Wisconsin Badgers in the Final Four.

Going into this matchup, the two schools are looking to find their way in this weird COVID-19 season, and for a while there, head coach Mike Brey was just looking for someone to play. Notre Dame looked very good in a loss to ranked Ohio State their last time out and will be looking to get a signature win on the season against a down Kentucky team Saturday afternoon.

Here is a look back at the history of these two programs against each other.
