Notre Dame Men’s Basketball at Kentucky: 3 things we learned

Prentiss Hubb needs to be a better distributor

Up 22 at the half, many believed that the Irish would win the game easily, especially with how they were dominating down low, and from the outside. With Laszewski putting the team on his back in the first half, there was not much else needed from the rest of the squad, but it would need to be a team effort in the second half.

The Wildcats came storming back against the Irish and actually pulled within one with under a minute left in the game. While the rest of the Notre Dame team struggled in the second half, point guard Prentiss Hubb kept his team in it, hitting clutch shot after clutch shot, and the Wildcats really had no answer for him.

While Hubb had no problem filling it up against Kentucky, he does have to do a better job in getting his teammate involved, especially against better competition. Incredibly, even though the Irish only played seven guys on Saturday, he had only one assist, and against the Duke Blue Devils on Wednesday, that is not going to work.
