Notre Dame Football Recruiting: Ranking the Class of 2021

17. Pat Coogan – Offensive Line – Marist (Chicago, IL)

High: 11 – Low: 21

Pat Coogan pledged to the Irish while the majority of the country was locked down. He received offers from 28 offers from LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, and Oklahoma, and was a highly sought after recruit because of the flexibility he provides. He could probably play all five positions across the offensive line if needed, though he is most ideally suited for the interior. He moves extremely well for his size when pulling on power and counter plays.

16. Logan Diggs – Running Back – Archbishop Rummel (Metairie, LA)

High: 12 – Low: 20

Logan Diggs received a Notre Dame offer following Will Shipley’s commitment to Clemson. He held 26 offers from several major programs including LSU and USC, and according to the 247Sports Composite, Diggs ranks as the 541st prospect in the 2021 class. Diggs is a very solid all-around running back, as he is a smooth running back who can catch the ball effectively, which fits in well with Tommy Rees’ offense.

15. Joe Alt – Offensive Tackle – Totino-Grace (Minneapolis, MN)

High: 14 – Low: 16

Joe Alt is an intriguing prospect. During his junior season, he played at tight end for the majority of the year but because of his size and his pedigree, his father was 1st round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs, many schools offered him scholarships. They projected that he would grow into an excellent offensive tackle, and in the end, he received offers from eight Power 5 programs. Alt is already up to 6’7″, 283 lbs. and he will continue to add solid weight while maintaining his athleticism. This should allow him to become a great left tackle at Notre Dame.
