Ticket prices have skyrocketed over last season

It is safe to say that the prices for this year’s matchup are exponentially higher than last year, this due to the COVID-19 pandemic and there being limited capacity. Also, the matchup between Clemson and Notre Dame is the most exciting conference championship game of them all, pitting two potential College Football Playoff participants.

Last season, tickets for the ACC Championship game ranged anywhere from $47 for some upper deck seats and as much as $350 for lower-level seats around the 50-yard line. This year, those numbers are a fraction of what it will cost fans of the two programs.

Tickets for the game inside US Bank Stadium, as seen on VividSeats, range from over $1200 for upper-level spots, all the way up to nearly $2700 for lower-level seats. Remember, the capacity for the game has been set at 5,240 people, which is driving the ticket prices through the roof.

On Stubhub, you can get tickets for $700 for upper deck seating, with lower-level seating going for around $2100. Any way you look at it, you will be paying a lot more than last year.

The game is a rematch of an instant classic back in November when the two teams went into double-overtime, and the Irish came away with a signature win. That win will propel them to the College Football Playoff even with a loss on Saturday, but playing in the ACC for this one season, Brian Kelly and Ian Book would like nothing more than to win the title.
