The Notre Dame Football team will take on the Clemson Tigers for the ACC championship on Saturday, and here is our preview and prediction of the matchup.

In a rematch from the instant classic over a month ago, the Notre Dame football team will battle it out against the Clemson Tigers in the ACC Championship Game. It has been a wonderful first, and the only season, in the ACC for the Irish, who have run through the regular season with a perfect record, and can put an exclamation point on the year with a win on Saturday.

Clemson, on the other hand, needs this win badly, as a two-loss team is going to have a hard time getting into the College Football Playoff. Even with a loss, the Irish are likely in, but that does not mean Brian Kelly won’t have his team fired up to win the conference title this weekend.

Game Preview

The Tigers will be looking to not only avenge their loss but to also punch their ticket to the College Football Playoff. Unlike the last meeting, Clemson will have star quarterback Trevor Lawrence under center, the presumed No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. In the first game, true freshman D.J. Uiagalelei threw for 439 yards, but the Irish were able to clamp down on him in overtime.

Saturday, Lawrence will be looking to make a statement, as the last time he played in such a high-level game, his Tigers were throttled by Joe Burrow and LSU. Notre Dame counters with star Ian Book, who has done an incredible job making plays with his arm, and his legs this season, and brings a never-say-die attitude.

This game is going to come down to likely whoever has the ball last, as both offenses should be electric on Saturday.
