Notre Dame Football: What will Gee bring to South Bend?

The 6’3 185-pound safety will bring some Kyle Hamilton-like size to the secondary, and not just because they are both from Georgia. No, he isn’t the elite field general at the moment that Kyle is, but the size and skills definitely show. He’s someone that could definitely thrive closer to the line of scrimmage but also has loose hips and quick feet so it’ll be interesting to see how he develops once he gets to South Bend.

He’s a solid tackler and he will absolutely lay a hit on you if you are in his way. Again, think Kyle Hamilton, and that’s what you’ll see from Khari Gee, no doubt. Really though, he’s just extremely versatile and can do a ton of things really well.

He is a twitchy, fast athlete that’s smart enough to play all over the field, and you can’t go wrong with that. This is an outstanding late get for the staff, and in my eyes, someone that could hover around the top-ten guys in the entire recruiting class for the Irish.

With the signing of Khari Gee, there are now 26 signees for the Irish class and only one additional that hasn’t signed yet in running back commit Logan Diggs.

Gee will be joining Philip Riley, Ryan Barnes, Chance Tucker, Justin Walters, JoJo Johnson, and Lorenzo Styles Jr. in the loaded secondary room. Terry Joseph and Mike Mickens have an absolute dominant group of guys in the secondary coming to town and I can’t wait to see them in action for years to come.
