Notre Dame football ACC title game grades: Running Backs

After his coming out party against Clemson earlier this season, Kyren Williams disappointed in the ACC Championship Game. He didn’t break any particularly big runs, and it felt like a win just to go for three yards and a cloud of dust. His pass protection was fine but didn’t stand out as anything special against the overwhelming Clemson rush.

There wasn’t a ton of help from anywhere else on the ground either, as his backups did not do much to speak of as well. C’Bo Flemister went backward when given his opportunity, while Chris Tyree did have a nice touchdown run. That was about it for the running backs on the ground, though, as things were bad for the entire group in this one.

Williams did have a few catches through the air, and Tyree snagged a pass too, but there wasn’t much yardage there, though. The two would combine for 21 yards receiving.

Williams finished the day with 15 carries for 50 yards. Flemister had one carry for -4, while Tyree’s one time touching the ball went for 21 yards and a touchdown.
