Notre Dame football ACC title game grades: Offensive Line

Notre Dame’s offensive line had a very rough day against Clemson, as Ian Book had no time to throw, the running backs were getting blown up in the backfield, and there were even some botched snaps. Sure, they were down a starting center, and the Clemson defense is known for its creative blitzes, but this was an awful moment to have their worst game of the season.

Book spent the entire game running for his life, if not on his back. The running game didn’t leave first gear. As a whole, it was a mess, and this loss in the trenches was not only the primary reason that Notre Dame lost the ACC Championship Game, but could be the reason that the Irish miss out on the College Football Playoff too.
