Notre Dame football will be able to run the ball

The Fighting Irish should be able to run the football against the Crimson Tide, as teams have had success against them on the ground this season. Ole Miss rushed for 268 yards against Alabama, and Notre Dame ranks just behind Ole Miss in rushing offense.

The Irish rank 19th in the nation, averaging 217.64 yards per contest, and have an elite running back in redshirt freshman Kyren Williams. This is a kid who has shown he can put the team on his back when needed, and he will be needed to on Friday.

Williams burst onto the scene this season to the tune of a 1,000-yard season, and the hope is he can get over 100 yards rushing in this one. Notre Dame should be able to put up great numbers on the ground, and while they may not rush for 200 yards, they will still be effective.
