The Notre Dame football team will take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl, and here are x-factors on both sides of the ball.
Gameday has finally arrived, as the Notre Dame football team will take on the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl. As has been the case with everything during this pandemic year, this game will be much weirder than usual, as the Rose Bowl will not be played inside the Rose Bowl, but instead in Dallas, Texas.
Alabama comes in as the consensus best team in college football, sporting two Heisman Trophy finalists on offense, and multiple first-round talents on the defensive side of the ball. It will be a tall order for the Irish to come away with the victory on Friday night, as they did not look good against Clemson a few weeks back, and come in with the narrative that the program is not up to par with the rest of the elite teams in the country.
If the Irish do pull off the upset, it will be one of the bigger ones in College Football Playoff history, and certainly the biggest in Brian Kelly’s tenure as head coach. The bottom line is, the Crimson Tide are a special team this season, but Notre Dame does have some elite talent that could change the narrative in the Rose Bowl.
Here are two x-factors on either side of the ball for the Irish in the Rose Bowl.
