The Notre Dame football team was one of the best in college football this past season, running through their ACC schedule with a perfect 10-0 record. In that time, the Irish beat the No. 1 team in the country in the Clemson Tigers, and eventually punched their ticket to the College Football Playoff.

While there were two losses to close the season, one in the ACC title game, and another in the Rose Bowl, it was still a terrific season for the Irish. They were led by a great blend of young and veteran talent, all the while seeing some historic moments along the way.

Quarterback Ian Book became the all-time winningest quarterback in program history, and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah rounded into being the best linebacker in the country. With eyes on the NFL Draft in a few months, some of the players leaving will have a few more chances to impress the scouts, and one will happen in two weeks with the Reese’s Senior Bowl.

As expected, the Irish will be well-represented in the game.

Seven members of the Notre Dame football program have accepted invites to the Senior Bowl

All told, seven members of the Irish football team have accepted their invites to the game, including Book, who will play for the National Team as one of the three quarterbacks. Joining Book on the offensive side of the ball will be sixty percent of his starting offensive line, as Robert Hainsey, Aaron Banks, and Liam Eichenberg will play, though we do not know for which team yet.

Wide receiver Ben Skowronek, who played outstanding football as a transfer this season, will also represent the Irish’s 2020 offense.

On defense, edge rushers Adetokunbo Ogundeji and Daelin Hayes have also been invited and will get a chance to show they belong in the conversation of being a 2021 draft pick as well. This is a game that is going to have a lot of Notre Dame flavor and will give fans of the Irish one more chance to see them put on the gold helmet.

The Reese’s Senior Bowl will take place on Saturday, January 30, 2021, and will be played at Hancock Whitney Stadium, the home of South Alabama University. The game will be broadcast nationally on the NFL Network, and you can expect the stands to be filled with pro scouts, giving these members of the Irish a chance to boost their draft stock.
