Notre Dame draft prospects hurt by no Combine: Adetokunbo Ogundeji and Daelin Hayes

The Notre Dame football team had some talented veterans up front this past season, as Adetokunbo Ogundeji and Daelin Hayes provided excellent leadership. Ogundeji actually came back for a fifth-year in 2020, and many thought he would be a draft pick last year, so the expectation is that he will be selected in 2021.

Hayes is a high-character guy, and should nail his pre-draft interviews. He was also a huge recruit for the Irish when he was coming out of high school, and while he did not have a great collegiate career, he was a leader on this team, and any NFL team will benefit from selecting him on Day 3 this year.

Both Hayes and Ogundeji will participate in the Senior Bowl, so scouts are going to be able to get a long look at them. They both have the size and physical attributes to be players at the next level, but without the Combine, it is imperative they put it all on the line against some of the best players in the country next weekend.
