Heading into their matchup with the Miami Hurricanes, we spoke about the fact that the Notre Dame Men’s Basketball team had the talent to win. With a win, they would put together back-to-back victories for the first time all season, while doing it against ACC competition.

On Sunday, the Notre Dame Men’s Basketball team had us looking great in terms of our predictions, as they used a balanced attack to beat a Miami team that has been able to stop quality offenses this season.

Here are three things we learned with the victory

Prentiss Hubb can distribute the ball

At the beginning of the season, it was clear that the Irish were only going to go as far as to point guard Prentiss Hubb would take them. The junior is a guy who can certainly fill it up when needed, but ball distribution was going to be key in this one, especially against a defense that can be downright suffocating at times.

Well, Hubb followed up a ten-assist game the last time out with another nine in this one, and it not only helped his teammates but also his ability to get better looks. The outcome was a fantastic game from him from the field, going 7-of-12 overall, and 5-of-7 from three, leading the Irish in both points and assists.
