Notre Dame Men’s Basketball can dominate down low

All season long, junior forward Nate Laszewski has proven that he is not only one of the better big men in the ACC but could be an NBA draft pick this year. Showing the ability to score down low, and from deep, Laszewski is a matchup nightmare for any opponent, even one like the Hurricanes, who can play elite defense at times.

The Hurricanes have their own stellar big man in Nysier Brooks, who was pretty much taken out of this game by the tandem of Laszewski and Juwan Durham. When both big men are rolling, the Irish can be tough to beat, especially when the guards are lighting it up from the outside, and Hubb is getting everyone involved.

For the game, both Laszewski and Durham posted 16 points, while combining to go 13-of-20 from the field, and pulling down 15 rebounds. They each had a block, and if they can play the way they did on Sunday on a more consistent basis, the Irish are going to be a very tough offensive team to stop, no matter the competition.
