Notre Dame Football: Best landing spots for top-10 Irish draft prospects
By Brad Weiss
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah should be the first Notre Dame football player taken
- Las Vegas Raiders, Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots
The first member of the Notre Dame football program who should hear his name called this April is linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. Widely considered the second-best linebacker in this draft class behind Penn State’s Micah Parsons, JOK could find himself landing as high as No. 12 overall to the San Francisco 49ers, as he has been mocked that high.
There are plenty of great landing spots for him, including the Las Vegas Raiders, who have struggled at the linebacker spot for many years. The New England Patriots have a defensive genius at head coach in Bill Belichick, who could utilize JOK’s versatility, and the Cleveland Browns are a player or two away from being a legitimate contender in the AFC.
Overall, all 32 teams could use a player like JOK, it all depends on how high he is on people’s draft boards. If he is not selected in the first round, it would be an absolute shock.
The NFL Draft is always an exciting time for not only the players but for fans of the Notre Dame football program. How many of these guys get drafted? Only time will tell, but all ten should end up at least on a roster heading into training camp this summer.
