Best landing spots for Notre Dame football WR Javon McKinley

  • New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears

Not considered a real draft prospect, Javon McKinley is going to have to take advantage of his Pro Day and nail the interviews if he hopes to be drafted within the three-day event. In reality, it was a bit of a surprise that he was not invited to the Senior Bowl, as he emerged as a go-to wideout for the Notre Dame football team in 2020.

Sitting behind future NFL players like Equamimneous St. Brown and Chase Claypool, McKinley needed to take advantage of his opportunity this season, and he did just that. Now, he prepares for the NFL Draft, and while he is not one of the top wideouts in this draft class, he does bring a skill set that will work at the next level.

There are plenty of wideout-needy teams including the New York Jets, who struggled with consistency at the position. The Jacksonville Jaguars are bringing in a new quarterback this year, and need weapons, while the Chicago Bears could lose Allen Robinson to free agency.
