Notre Dame Football: Best landing spots for top-10 Irish draft prospects
By Brad Weiss
Tommy Kraemer was a beast for Notre Dame football
- Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, New York Jets
During his time at Notre Dame, Tommy Kraemer established himself as one of the premier offensive guards in college football. A four-year starter for the Fighting Irish, Kraemer actually projects as a possible Day 2 pick, thanks to the fact he could step in and dominate in Year 1.
An excellent run blocker and pass protector, Kraemer has the strength and frame to play at the next level, and there is certainly a lot of tape on him. Look for teams like Arizona, the New York Jets, and Tennessee to be in the market to upgrade the interior of their offensive line, and you would be hard-pressed to find a better prospect than Kraemer after Day 1.
All of these teams struggled to protect the quarterback last season, and a dominant offensive guard like Kraemer could start on any of these teams right away. In a draft that could see Notre Dame have four offensive linemen drafted, Kraemer could be the most NFL-ready of the bunch.
