The Notre Dame football program will be looking to build off of what was a successful 2020 college football season, one that saw them have to join the ACC just to get a full slate of games. They ran through the ACC during the regular season, going undefeated, before losing in both the ACC title game and the College Football Playoff.

Still, it was another ten-win campaign for Brian Kelly and his staff, and as they look towards next season, there is a solid crop of incoming freshmen heading to South Bend.

When ranking the top-25 recruiting classes from the 2021 recruiting cycle, many publications have the Irish bringing in a top-10 class. However, one media outlet feels they did not do enough to crack the top-10, which had Alabama at No. 1 overall, and the Oregon Ducks sneaking in at No. 10.

Bleacher Report’s Brad Shepard released his final 2021 recruiting class rankings last week, and Notre Dame football saw their 2021 class ranked as No. 11 overall.

We have gone over the entire 2021 class for Notre Dame football, and there is a lot to be excited about. They brought in playmakers on both sides of the ball, a possible QB1, and have reloaded at positions of weakness.

Overall, it was a pretty stacked 2021 class for the Irish, as they brought in 12 four-star prospects out of the 27 players signed. After four straight ten-or-more win seasons, the plan is to just reload in South Bend, as they look to continue to bridge the gap between them and teams like Alabama and Ohio State.

Of course, we won’t truly know what this class will bring to the Notre Dame football program until they get settled on campus, and start moving up the depth charts and playing on Saturdays. Based on their body of work in high school, they have certainly earned their scholarships, and will now be tasked with producing over the next four years.
