The Notre Dame football team has plenty of players who are eligible for the 2021 NFL Draft, and they could see as many as ten guys get picked across the three-day event. While that is not likely, those who went to the Senior Bowl really showed out, and there are some sure-fire picks, including Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and Liam Eichenberg.

Offensive linemen Robert Hainsey and Aaron Banks had terrific Senior Bowl weeks, improving their draft stock, and quarterback Ian Book proved to be a legitimate NFL prospect. One player who did not participate is tight end Tommy Tremble, who shocked Notre Dame football when he declared early for the 2021 NFL Draft, but apparently, he knows something we all don’t.

With the 2021 NFL Draft a little over two months away, all prospects will make their final pushes to be selected throughout the seven-round event. Tremble was not considered a big prospect after declaring, but he was recently mocked pretty high.

Notre Dame football’s Tommy Tremble in Round 3?

At the end of January, A.J. Schulte from Pro Football Network released a complete seven-round 2021 NFL Mock draft. Owusu-Koramoah was selected in the first round, landing with the Las Vegas Raiders at No. 17 overall, while Eichenberg kicked off the second round, being selected by Jacksonville.

The next member of the Notre Dame football team selected was a bit of a surprise, as it was Tremble being picked by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the No. 87 overall pick. For Tremble, that would be a best-case scenario, as he not only is drafted above where he is projected but also to a franchise where he would join former teammate, Chase Claypool.

Next. Notre Dame football will benefit from the ‘one-time’ transfer rule. dark

There won’t be an in-person Scouting Combine this year, but players will have chances to impress scouts in a virtual one, their pro days, and during the interview process. Tremble has the talent to be a solid player at the next level, and with him already being mocked in Day 2 means that he made the right decision to leave the program when he did.
