The Notre Dame football program has around ten players who could make some serious noise in the 2021 NFL Draft, including two who could go in the first round. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and Liam Eichenberg are two guys who are normally ranked in mock drafts, whether the first or second round, but there are plenty of other members of last year’s Irish football team that could be drafted over the three-day event.

From offensive linemen like Aaron Banks, Robert Hainsey, and Tommy Kraemer, to defensive ends like Daelin Hayes and Ade Ogundeji, there is a lot of talent leaving the Notre Dame football program this season. Some of those guys will be hard to replace, like Ian Book, who left a big question mark at quarterback.

However, one player who entered the draft a bit shockingly is getting more and more buzz and could be the third member of this Notre Dame football program to come off the board in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Notre Dame football TE getting a lot of draft buzz

When Tommy Tremble announced his intentions of turning pro, it was met with a lot of skepticism. Tremble did not blow anybody away statistically during his time at Notre Dame, and Michael Mayer was the real headliner at the tight end position last season, so the move was a bit of a head-scratcher.

Now that the draft cycle has begun, and teams are really starting to dig into the tape, and have interviews, it is clear that Tremble made the right choice. In fact, some feel he could be the third member of the Notre Dame football program drafted this year, going as high as the third round, which would have been laughable at this time last year.

Tremble does a lot of things well that NFL teams like, as he can catch the ball in space, has good athleticism, and is an outstanding blocker. It is the blocking that is going to land him a starting role at the next level, and he could play a role similar to what the Las Vegas Raiders plan to do with Foster Moreau, a great blocking tight end who can be a nightmare matchup in the red zone.
