Notre Dame football: Ideal NFL spot for Aaron Banks, No. 2

Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders went into the 2020 NFL season with one of the more talented offensive lines in all of football. They returned all five starters from a team that won seven games the year before, and for a franchise with so many question marks, this one was supposed to be a group they could lean on.

Well, injuries and COVID-19 ravaged the group, as really only Rodney Hudson and Kolton Miller were constants all year long. The guard group of Gabe Jackson and Richie Incognito barely played together, and in 2021, it is a tandem that both could be seeing their way out the door, as the team reshuffle along the offensive line.

Last year, the Raiders drafted John Simpson from Clemson in the fourth round, an All-American for the Tigers who played a bit during his rookie season. Drafting Banks in the third round would make a lot of sense for the Raiders, as they try and create more cap space, and put two young and talented players at the two guard spots in 2021.
