We finish up with the California kid going back to Cali, as the San Francisco 49ers would be a great landing spot for Book in so many ways. First, he would be going back to the left coast, a place he grew up, and a place where he starred as the starting quarterback for Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, California.
Secondly, he would be joining an organization that has an absolute offensive genius as the head coach, as Kyle Shanahan is elite at working with what talent he has. Remember, he got the 49ers to the Super Bowl with Jimmy Garoppolo as the quarterback, so Book would be able to learn a lot from him early on in his career.

It still is not clear whether or not Garoppolo is the future in San Francisco, and there are rumors that they could move on from him. That leaves the 49ers quarterback room in flux, and while Book is not ready to start right away at the NFL level, if he can spend two years or so learning from Shanahan, he may be able to take over down the road, making this the ideal landing spot for him this year.
