Notre Dame football: Ideal NFL spot for Ade Ogundeji, No. 2

New York Giants

The New York Giants have a lot of questions on the defensive side of the ball, especially after seeing so many players step up during the 2020 NFL season. They must figure out what they plan to do with Leonard Williams, who has been outstanding since coming over from the New York Jets, and they have proven to not be shy in terms of the defensive line in the NFL Draft.

In 2019, they added Clemson star Dexter Lawrence to the fold in the first round, and since 2017, they have added defensive linemen Dalvin Tomlinson and BJ Hill. Still, this is a team that needs help along the edge, being one of their top draft needs, so getting a player like Ogundeji in possibly the fourth round makes a lot of sense for them.

Ogundeji could come in and play the edge alongside Lawrence, giving the Giants two young, and talented defensive ends to build around. This is a team that has some exciting pieces on both sides of the ball, and the fans in New York would love Ogundeji’s motor and his exciting presence in the pass rush.
