Notre Dame Football: 11 prospects invited to Scouting Combine
Defense: LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, DE Daelin Hayes, DE Adetonkunbo Ogundeji
While the defense does not have as many prospects invited to participate in this unorthodox 2021 Scouting Combine, it is not a lack of talent. In fact, the Notre Dame football program could not only have the first linebacker off the board in the first round but possibly the first defensive player selected in Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah.
As we inch closer to the draft, JOK has been rocketing up draft boards and was recently placed as high as No. 7 overall to the Detroit Lions. He is a special player, with a perfect skill set for the NFL level, and any team picking in the first round would be happy to add a player like him to their defense.
Joining Owusu-Koramoah at the Combine will be two defensive end prospects who really shined during the 2021 Senior Bowl festivities. Both Daelin Hayes and Ade Ogundeji are slated to be Day 3 picks, but if they can put together a solid Combine, and have an excellent Pro Day, there is no reason why they can’t bump their status up to Day 2.
Either way, it is going to be great to see how these top prospects perform.
