Notre Dame Football: Top-25 players of the Brian Kelly era

10. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, 2017-20

  • 142 tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, 1 INT, 7 pass breakups, 4 fumbles recovered, 5 fumble recoveries

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah redshirted his first year at Notre Dame and missed the majority of 2018 with an injury. That left him just two seasons to put up elite numbers from the linebacker position.

Put up elite numbers he did, and by his senior season, there were even articles going up about the science of how hard JOK hits. He quickly became an All-ACC, All-American, and Butkus Award winner, JOK had one of the best individual seasons of anybody during Brian Kelly’s time at Notre Dame.

This past season, he was a key for a Notre Dame football team that ran through their ACC schedule undefeated, showing the kind of versatility that is going to make him an absolute monster at the next level. JOK can play sideline to sideline, is an incredible tackler, and is also solid in coverage, the total package for an NFL linebacker.

It’s a shame that JOK only played two seasons at Notre Dame because he could have been one of the greatest Notre Dame players of all time if he had a bit more time to get there. Of course, he was an academic senior for the 2020 season, and despite having two more years of eligibility the NFL is calling him, where he will be a first-round pick.
