Notre Dame Football: Top-25 players of the Brian Kelly era

7. Will Fuller, WR, 2013-15

  • 144 receptions, 2,512 yards receiving, 30 TDs

You could argue that Michael Floyd should have a top-ten spot on this and Will Fuller should be in the teens, based on a statistical argument, but if Fuller had stayed for his senior year then he would have pushed Floyd in almost every statistical category. As it stands, Fuller is eighth all-time on the Notre Dame receptions list, fourth in receiving yards, and second in touchdowns.

If he replicated his junior year in a senior year of production, he’d be second in receptions, but first in yards and touchdowns.

Fuller was a dominant wide receiver while at Notre Dame, carrying the Irish in the post-2012 BCS runs. He was an All-American in 2015 when his 14 touchdowns were the fifth-most in a single season by a Notre Dame receiver. It was the year before he joined a four-way tie for the most touchdown catches in a single season, with 15.

The Houston Texans drafted Fuller in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, and he’s been excellent when healthy for them.
