Jack Coan is very accurate with the football

When it comes to Coan’s skill set, there is not one big thing that is really going to blow you away watching him play quarterback. He has a strong arm, is solid in the pocket, and relies on the talent around him, the perfect quarterback to run Tommy Rees‘ offense as the team transitions away from Book.

One thing that really stands out when watching Coan play, and even checking his box scores, is the fact that he is incredibly accurate with the football. He is deliberate with where he wants to get the ball to, goes through his route progressions, and does not force the issue, something we will get into in a bit.

In 2021, Coan will be leading a group that has a lot of question marks at wide receiver, so having the kind of accuracy he has is going to go a long way. This is a kid who completed nearly 70 percent of his passes for Wisconsin during the 2019 season, and with a security blanket like Michael Mayer at tight end, there is no reason he can’t put up those numbers once again.
