Notre Dame Football has now made two out of the last three College Football Playoffs, and there is a formula that has been working, certainly. However, those two appearances went very poorly, and turnover on the roster and coaching staff is leading to questions going into the 2021 season.

So, how does Brian Kelly navigate this and get Notre Dame Football back to the College Football Playoff in 2021 and beyond?

After all, the Playoff is everyone’s goal. Once you make it once, it’s something you want another shot at. By the time you make it twice, the Playoff becomes the standard, the expectation. Now, that is what is expected of Kelly and the Irish.

Furthermore, improving upon the failures of Notre Dame’s first two CFP semifinal appearances is expected. Still, how does Kelly get Notre Dame Football to get back to that spot? What is it going to take as he moves on from the Ian Book era?
