The Notre Dame Football program has an elite talent at the safety position, as Kyle Hamilton is where touchdowns go to die for the opposition.

During the 2021 NFL Draft, the Notre Dame Football program could see as many as two players selected in the first round. Those two, linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and offensive tackle Liam Eichenberg, were crucial in the success of the program over the last few seasons.

In 2022, there are some players within the program who could play their way to a first-round billing, but one who already has, most likely, is safety Kyle Hamilton. This is a guy who has stepped onto the field for this Notre Dame program and has been absolutely dominating, becoming arguably the best safety in all of college football.

Being a premier spot at the NFL level, the sky is the limit for him.

When it comes to defending against the pass, there are fewer better options in the secondary than Kyle Hamilton. This is a kid who basically shuts down a passing game from his safety position, and has parlayed that into being one of the best defensive backs in all of college football.

Across his two seasons, Hamilton has yet to allow a single touchdown, and in that time, has five interceptions. That is across nearly 600 coverage snaps according to Pro Football Focus, which is quite a sample set.

Through those coverage snaps, Hamilton has allowed only 215 yards.

That is the kind of production that lands a player, especially a defensive back, within the top-32 picks in any given draft season. Hamilton is going to key a very young group in the Notre Dame Football secondary in 2021, and based on eligibility, he will likely be playing his final season in South Bend.
