Notre Dame Football: Impact of the 2022 and 2023 Recruiting Classes

2023 Class

On St. Patrick’s Day this year, the Irish not only landed the commitment of Joshua Burnham, but they also produced a new social media front that tailored to the 2023 class and really set the standard for what ND recruiting should be.

The “Pot of Gold” day for the Fighting Irish was a unique and effective method used by the staff to use for the top 2023 talents to connect over Twitter via the offers they were given as well. The big day was huge for the Irish because they were able to send out numerous offers to young talents across the country and the social media tactic paid off in that.

The Irish won this day in recruiting as several elite talents were able to tweet out their “Pot of Gold” offer from the university.

What’s the impact?

Without even knowing it, these recruits have already formed a virtual “connection” with this new social media push and the early start in the 2023 cycle will only help to land top-level talent. The new bar has been set for the Irish and it is now seen that elite level coaches are also expected to be elite level recruiters. Notre Dame has a lot of time left in both these upcoming classes, but their efforts are second to none right now.
