Notre Dame Football is losing a star in Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, but one NFL team will be getting a perfect linebacker for today’s game.

The Notre Dame Football has a lot of holes to fill on both sides of the ball this offseason, as they are losing elite talent at some very important positions. Of course, the quarterback is going to get a lot of the headlines, as Ian Book heads to the NFL, but on defense, the leader of that unit is also gone heading into next season.

During his time at Notre Dame, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah rounded himself into one of the best defensive players in the country. As he embarks on his pro journey, there is a lot to like about his game, and in most mock drafts, he is often the first linebacker off the board, and sometimes even the first defensive player picked.

The reason for that? He is perfect for today’s NFL.

Notre Dame Football star JOK is perfect for today’s NFL

Today’s NFL is built on speed, and as a linebacker, you have to be able to do so many things well. You cannot just be a flat-footed player who goes and gets a lot of tackles, no, you have to be able to latch onto a slot wideout, or tight end, and be able to cover.

What makes JOK stand out above all the rest is that he is elite in coverage, as well as being a tremendous tackler, something that is going to make him an All-Pro at the next level. There are so many teams who are missing that piece on the defensive side of the ball, which is why Owusu-Koramoah is rated so high in this draft class.

At the next level, I like JOK to not only be a three-down linebacker but someone who can also play safety if need be, he is just that versatile. As we trend closer to the draft, and with Notre Dame’s Pro Day on the horizon, I believe there is no way that he falls past the New England Patriots at pick No. 15 overall.
