The Notre Dame Football program will see many players selected in the 2021 NFL Draft, but one mock has them shut out of the first round.

The Notre Dame Football program will be well-represented in the 2021 NFL Draft, as 14 players will work out at the Pro Day on Wednesday, and there could legitimately be a record number of Irish selected across the three-day event. Notre Dame has one of the elite players at their position group in this draft class in linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who the consensus feel could be the first linebacker off the board.

While that is likely, one media member feels he is not even good enough to go in the first round, as he falls to Day 2. In fact, no member of the Irish goes in round one, which would be a bit of a shock once all is said and done.

Notre Dame Football stars fall to the second round

In his latest four-round mock draft for NFL.com, Chad Reuter actually has the Notre Dame Football program shut out of the first round. In his mock, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is the first player from the Irish off the board, which is the norm in these mocks, but what is not the norm is him falling to the second round.

Reuter has JOK going in the second round to the New England Patriots, which would be an excellent landing spot for him, but I do not believe there is any way he escapes the first round. Another potential first-round pick, Liam Eichenberg, also goes in the second round, landing in Green Bay to protect Aaron Rodgers.

In the third round of this mock, the Irish had Tommy Tremble go to the New York Jets, and Daelin Hayes land with the Pittsburgh Steelers in back-to-back picks. Aaron Banks finds himself in a perfect spot in the fourth round, as he goes to the Las Vegas Raiders, who are reshuffling the deck up front along the offensive line this offseason.
