The Notre Dame Football program will see multiple players selected in the 2021 NFL Draft, and one recent mock has three going in the second round alone.

We are entering that time of year where you will find a 2021 NFL Mock Draft nearly everywhere, and they are so wildly different after mostly the first two selections. For the Notre Dame Football program, they plan to hear names of their players called a bunch through the three-day event, as they have first-round talent, Day 2 talent, and guys who could go in later rounds.

Overall, it should be an excellent experience for the program, as it will once again put on a national stage just how good Brian Kelly and his staff are at producing NFL talent.

Notre Dame Football well-represented in Round 2

In a recent mock draft by Chris Trapasso from CBSSports.com, he put together a two-round version, one that left the Notre Dame Football program out of the first round. While we have seen some mocks recently that have Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah falling to Round 2, I do not believe that is going to be the case, as he has the perfect skill set for today’s NFL.

In this mock, JOK is the first member of the Notre Dame Football program off the board, but it comes early in round two, as he lands in South Beach with the Miami Dolphins. That would be an excellent landing spot for him, not so much in that round, but with that franchise, which has a defensive-minded head coach, and is definitely moving in the right direction.

Next up is Liam Eichenberg, a borderline first-round talent, who also lands in a perfect spot with the Las Vegas Raiders. After trading away Trent Brown this offseason, Las Vegas needs a right tackle and based on his size, strength, and experience, Eichenberg may be one of the more NFL-ready offensive tackles in this draft class, able to slide right in and start for the Silver and Black.

Finally, Aaron Banks creeps into the second round, landing with the Los Angeles Rams, and giving protection for their new quarterback, Matthew Stafford. We have long been saying that Banks is perfect for the NFL, and would start right away, and in Los Angeles, he would have the chance to do so.

While I do believe that JOK will go in the first round, having three of the first 57 picks coming from this Notre Dame Football program would be impressive. For now, we just have to wait and see how these guys do finishing out this draft cycle, but one thing is for sure, there is going to be a lot of Irish going pro in a few weeks.
