While he is not getting a ton of draft buzz right now, Notre Dame Football star Tommy Kraemer is going to be an excellent player at the next level.

The Notre Dame Football program had a special unit up front along the offensive line this past season, as they were finalists for the Joe Moore Award. Led by left tackle Liam Eichenberg, this is a group that won a ton of games during their time in South Bend, and one that will be hard to replace.

As we inch closer to the 2021 NFL Draft, Eichenberg is getting a lot of draft buzz, as there is talk of him possibly being selected in the first round. Aaron Banks, one of the offensive guards for the Notre Dame Football team last season, is also getting a lot of notice, and a recent mock draft had him going all the way as high as the second round.

His fellow starting offensive guard, Tommy Kraemer is also a player who should be drafted this year, but for some reason, he is not getting a ton of love. Looking back at his career, he is one of the more NFL-ready interior offensive linemen in this draft class and is going to be an absolute mauler at the next level.

Kraemer was an anchor for this Irish offensive line, earning third-team All-American honors this past season, and first-team All-ACC.

Notre Dame Football could have four offensive linemen taken

While Kraemer should be draft, and Eichenberg and Banks are a given, Robert Hainsey should also hear his name called across the three-day event. That would mean that eighty percent of the Irish’s starting offensive line will be drafted this year, with the fifth player still in South Bend in Jarrett Patterson.

In total, the Irish could have as many as ten players selected this year, which is a real testament to how well Brian Kelly has built up this program. Notre Dame Football has become synonymous with being “Offensive Line U,” producing elite NFL talent yearly.

For Kraemer, the buzz has not been great, but he has everything you look for in a dominant offensive lineman, including size, strength, and agility. He enjoyed an incredibly productive career with the Irish, and if he ends up being selected on Day 3, he could end up being a starter as a rookie.
