Notre Dame football: Top-10 draft picks of the Brian Kelly era

6. Ronnie Stanley

  • Baltimore Ravens, 2016: Round 1, Pick 6

Unfortunately, most people’s most recent memory of Ronnie Stanley is of him being carted off the field with a season-ending ankle injury. Right before then, he’d signed a massive five-year extension, worth up to $112,866,000.

It was a lesson in getting your money while you can. It was also a deal well worth it for the Baltimore Ravens, even if it did make Stanley the highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL.

A left tackle, Stanley is dominant, erasing pass rushers from Lamar Jackson’s blindside consistently. Of course, he’d always been very good, but in 2019 Stanley’s career went to another level. He’d be named to the Pro Bowl, as well as an All-Pro team.

Stanley is an elite offensive tackle, and once he comes back healthy, he’s primed to get right back to being one of the best in the NFL.
