The Notre Dame Football program has some talented signal-callers on their roster, and some of them may be looking to transfer before all is said and done.

With Jack Coan coming in as a graduate transfer, the conversation surrounding the Notre Dame Football program was that he would be the successor to Ian Book. However, he is getting big-time competition from Drew Pyne this spring, and some believe they could be neck-and-neck heading into the summer months.

With that said, we wanted to take a look at those players at the quarterback spot who could be transferring away from South Bend if the chips do not fall in their favor.

No. 3: Drew Pyne

Looking at the starting quarterback spot for the 2021 college football season, the likely starter is going to be Jack Coan, who recently transferred from the University of Wisconsin. During his time as the starter for the Badgers, Coan led the team to a Big Ten title game and showed solid accuracy in the passing game.

While it was expected that he would be the unquestioned starter this year, Drew Pyne is throwing a wrench into those plans and is battling him for the starting job. In fact, this is a quarterback battle that should bleed into the summer, and it will be interesting to see how both quarterbacks do in the Blue-Gold Game.

If Pyne does not beat out Coan, and with Tyler Buchner seemingly the quarterback of the future, he may be a player that takes a look at transferring. He was a big-time prospect in the 2020 Notre Dame football class, and I am sure there are plenty of schools that would love to have him under center for them in 2022.
