The Notre Dame Football team will have plenty of players selected in 2021, and one player was recently named a Day 3 steal.

The 2021 NFL Draft is less than a week away, and during the three-day event, some members of the Notre Dame Football program will see their lifelong dream of becoming an NFL player become a reality. Since the close of the 2020 college football season, we have seen multiple Notre Dame Football players improve their draft stock, and that is going to go a long way in next week’s draft.

Some are considered locks to be selected, like linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, and left tackle Liam Eichenberg, who are some of the best players at their positions in their draft class. Then there are players like Ian Book, Tommy Kraemer, and Daelin Hayes, guys who should be Day 3 selections, and prospects who really improved their draft stock this offseason.

Recently, Saturday Blitz put out a list of Day 3 steals along the offensive line, and one member of this Notre Dame Football team was listed.

Notre Dame Football star could be a Day 3 steal

In the piece, Sonny Martinez, who also writes for our site, listed former offensive tackle Robert Hainsey as a Day 3 steal, and rightfully so.  This is a guy who has been shooting up draft boards as of late and was also recently rated a top-100 prospect in this draft class by Pro Football Focus, so getting him on Day 3 would certainly be a steal.

Hainsey is a guy who is going to have a lot of value in this draft class due to his versatility, as he played opposite of Eichenberg at tackle last season, and had a lot of success. Also, he showed during the Senior Bowl practices, and in the game, that he can shift inside and play guard, so any offense would love to bring in a guy who has that skill set.

When it comes to offensive linemen, you never know where they are going to land, but it is safe to say that Hainsey has done enough to at least guarantee himself to be a draft pick this year. Maybe a team takes a shot on him in Day 2, but one thing is for sure, he is not going to last long on Day 3 this year.
