Notre Dame Football: 3-star recruits who had big impacts under Brian Kelly

2018: Tommy Tremble, TE

Tommy Tremble may not have had outstanding statistics during his time in South Bend, but he played a key role in this Notre Dame football team’s successes the last two seasons. After not playing in Year 1 on campus, Tremble played in 13 games during the 2019 college football season, hauling in four touchdowns.

This past season, he had a tremendous impact in the run, and passing game, playing in every game for the Irish, and clearing the way for Kyren Williams to go over 1,000 yards. An excellent blocker and pass-catcher, Tremble far exceeded his three-star status during his time with the Irish, and some feel his skill set is even more perfect for the NFL.

His father, Greg, played in the NFL, and actually won a Super Bowl with Dallas, so he will not be green going into the league. Some scouts feel he is the third-best tight end in this draft class, and there is no doubt he will be selected on Day 3 next Friday.
