Notre Dame Football: 3 Bold Predictions in the 2021 NFL Draft

Aaron Banks goes in the second round

The Notre Dame Football program could see four starters from last year’s offensive line selected in the 2021 NFL Draft, continuing their reputation of being “Offensive Line U.” While we know that Liam Eichenberg is a fringe first-round talent, he could actually fall into the second round, where I believe he will be joined by one of his offensive linemates.

That linemate is Aaron Banks, who I believe is the second-best interior offensive lineman in this draft class behind USC’s Alijah Vera-Tucker. Banks was an All-American for the Irish last season, dominated against the best teams in college football, and has the size, and strength to even play some tackle if need be.

His kind of versatility is going to go a long way at the next level, and after a dominant Senior Bowl, and Pro Day, his stock has never been higher. When all is said and done, I like Banks to go in the second round, possibly to a team like the Seattle Seahawks or even the Kansas City Chiefs towards the end at pick No. 63.
