Notre Dame Football: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah the favorite to land in Las Vegas
By Brad Weiss
We are only days away from the 2021 NFL Draft, and one Notre Dame Football star is the consensus to land in Las Vegas.
The Notre Dame Football program has a chance to be one of the more well-represented groups in the 2021 NFL Draft, as they have everything from the first-round talent, to guys who could go late on Day 3. One player who is consistently predicted to go in the first round is linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who is the second-best linebacker in this draft class.
As we have been inching towards the first round, we have seen many mock drafts with JOK in the first round. From pick No. 9 to the Denver Broncos, to all the way down in the first round to the Cleveland Browns, the one constant has been that he is going to be picked within the first 32 selections.

With what JOK put on tape, and all the honors he received, it is no big surprise that he is being mocked in the first round. This guy has a special skill set that is going to go a long way at the next level, as he has the talent to play both linebacker of safety at the next level.
We have seen players with this same skill set succeed at the NFL level, and even recently, as Clemson’s Isaiah Simmons was selected by the Arizona Cardinals with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and would go on to be named a 2020 PFWA All-Rookie Team selection.
According to NFLMockDraftDatabase.com, the consensus pick for the Raiders during the last two weeks has been former Notre Dame linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. He has also been the consensus selection from the last two months, but what does that really mean when it comes time for the Raiders to hand in their index card at pick No. 17 overall.
Nobody really ever can predict what will happen in the first round of the NFL Draft, which is what makes mock drafts so popular this time of year. The Irish could have as many as ten players selected in the 2021 NFL Draft, but the consensus is that JOK will be the first player from the program off the board.
