Notre Dame Football: 2021 NFL Draft predictions from the SlaptheSign.com staff

Ade Ogundeji (DL)

Connor McJunkin: Round 5, Pick 175, Kansas City Chiefs

One of the biggest weaknesses for the Chiefs recently has been their pass rush. Chris Jones and Frank Clark have not been not consistent enough on their own. For Kansas City, adding a player like Ogundeji to their defensive line would be a perfect fit. His size and motor make him an interesting prospect, and he will likely be available on the third day of the draft.

Jack Leniart: Round 5, Pick 168, Minnesota Vikings

Ogundeji is a very intriguing draft prospect with a ton of upside. He progressed each year at Notre Dame, and I think that trajectory could continue at the next level. The Vikings have plenty of needs on both sides of the ball, but I think head coach Mike Zimmer will prioritize his defense. Ogundeji could be a great value pick in the fifth round of the draft.

Andrew Hall: Round 5

Ogundeji is hard draft prospect to judge. On one hand, he has a lot of physical potential and room to grow as a player. On the other hand, he was never really a consistently dominant player in college. I think his upside outweighs his lack of production and lands him in the fifth round of the draft.

Brad Weiss: Round 5, Pick No. 148, Houston Texans

I actually really like Ade Ogundeji’s draft stock heading into this year’s draft, and I believe he could actually sneak in as a Day 2 pick. However, a more realistic spot for him is at the top of the fifth round, where the Houston Texans bring him in to fill the void left by J.J. Watt leaving for Arizona.
