Notre Dame Football: Three 2022 targets that could commit next

Billy Schrauth, OG, St. Mary’s Springs

The Irish have been the leader in this recruitment for quite some time, battling it out with the Wisconsin native’s home state school in Madison. Recently though, there is a feeling that Notre Dame is the unanimous school in receiving Schrauth’s pledge.

Jeff Quinn has been doing a very good job in building this relationship and showing how important Billy Schrauth means to the program.

Schrauth, along with two other highly touted Wisconsin lineman (Carson Hinzman and Joe Brunner), will be making their way to South Bend the weekend of June 18th for their official visits. Notre Dame is in a great position for all three of them, but I would not be surprised if Schrauth commits to Notre Dame before making his trip for the OV.

His commitment before his visit can only impact the recruitment of the other two Wisconsin prospects in a positive way. The Irish need to land this young man, and they would prefer to receive that pledge before June.
