Notre Dame Football: Three 2022 targets that could commit next
Jaylen Sneed, OLB, Hilton Head
Coming off an extremely impressive performance this past weekend at the Rivals Camp in Atlanta, Jaylen Sneed is an extremely athletic linebacker who dominated in his reps against some of the best talent from the South. His showing earned him the linebacker MVP honors at the camp and an invite to the Rival’s 5 Star challenge.
This is another recruitment where I feel Notre Dame is at the top of the list for Sneed and this is the Irish staff’s to lose. This one will not come easy though, as schools like Tennessee and Texas AM are breathing on the neck of this recruitment. But, that being said, I simply do not see a world in which Sneed goes elsewhere.
The South Carolina native wants to get away from home, he wants to receive a top-tier education, and play high-caliber football. The other schools recruiting Sneed do not even sniff the education opportunity that Notre Dame does and Marcus Freeman has a relationship with Sneed that goes back much further than when this recruitment began. He has an official visit lined up in June, but I would not be shocked if he was in the class before he made his road trip to the Bend.
