Notre Dame Football: Day 2 landing spots for Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

No. 3: Pick No. 40, Denver Broncos

We start this off by looking at the Denver Broncos, who, as I stated earlier, were mocked to be selecting Owusu-Koramoah with the No. 9 overall pick. With them picking Patrick Surtain II at No. 9 on Friday night, it is clear that Drew Lock is their quarterback, at least for now, and the attention will be shifted to the defense early in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Last year, the Broncos used a lot of early draft capital on the offensive side of the ball, and after taking the cornerback in round one, it would not surprise if they shored up their linebacker spot with JOK at No. 40. They have a lot of good talent on defense, including Justin Simmons and Bradley Chubb, and JOK would be an excellent complement to both of them.

The Broncos have a defense-oriented head coach, and certainly enough weapons on offense to go defense with their top two picks in 2021. They are trying to get out of the cellar in the AFC West, and a player with the skill set of Owusu-Koramoah can certainly help them do just that.
