Notre Dame Football: Day 2 landing spots for Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

No. 2: Pick No. 46, New England Patriots

The second landing spot is a bit deeper in the second round, as JOK’s slide continues to nearly the No. 50 overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft. Despite falling, he lands in a perfect spot for him to start his NFL career, joining Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots.

Belichick is a defensive genius, and you can be sure that a mind like his would find so many ways to use such an incredible player on that side of the ball. The Patriots missed out on the playoffs last season, and he had to watch Tom Brady win a Super Bowl, and after spending so much money in free agency, JOK would be a plug-and-play starter as a rookie.

New England got their quarterback of the future in Mac Jones in Round 1, as he fell all the way to No. 15, and they did not even have to trade up to get him. In JOK, they would get a player that could end up being their defensive captain down the line, which would be a best-case scenario for Belichick this late in the second round.
