Bottom Line on the Seminoles

At the end of the day, Florida State is a desperate program. They’re desperate to figure out what went wrong and get back to their former glory. The issue is that they haven’t even seemed to see the problem themselves. A lack of patience, a lack of proper facilities, more programs coming into Florida to recruit, and overinvolved donors are just the tip of the iceberg.

Still, Mike Norvell has made a few moves this offseason that have people buzzing. It’s almost impossible for the Seminoles to be worse, but now there is an actual reason to hope that they’ll be better, particularly on offense.

So, while Florida State won’t be the Florida State of old, they’ll be more than formidable.

Too Early Prediction

Going into Tallahassee to start the season, in prime time, and incredible heat and humidity won’t be easy, and this is an easy game to overlook. After all, this game feels a lot like the way the game against Texas felt in 2016. Still, Brian Kelly and Notre Dame have grown a lot since then, as they’re a more talented team and a more mentally disciplined team. The Irish are going to win this game, but with Notre Dame in a state of transition, it will be scary.
